雙語新聞：阿桑奇引渡案審理結束，英國高等法院稍后宣布裁決

The United Kingdom High Court has concluded its hearing on WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's appeal against his extradition to the United States on espionage charges.

英國高等法院結束了對維基解密創始人朱利安·阿桑奇的上訴，阿桑奇反對以間諜罪被引渡到美國。

The judges say they will give their decision at a later date.

During the two-day court hearing, Assange's legal team applied for a review of the 2022 decision by then-British Home Secretary Patel to approve Assange's extradition to the United States, and challenged the 2021 High Court ruling. They stressed that Assange could suffer a miscarriage of justice if sent to the United States as U.S. authorities seek to punish him for exposing abuses by the U.S. government. Lawyers representing the US government have argued that the documents leaked by Mr Assange damaged the country's security and intelligence services.

Assange is currently being held at Belmarsh prison in London. Assange did not attend the trial for the second day in a row. His wife, Stella, said Assange had wanted to attend the trial but was "not well".
